Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH)

The original school opened in 1901 and currently provides pre K-3 through eighth grade education. The school has a long tradition of academic excellence and was recognized in 2004 with the Blue Ribbon Award. Less than 5% of all schools in the United States receive this designation.

What is the Endowment Fund?

In 2008, the OLPH Endowment Fund, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, was established to provide ongoing support for the school.

Ride Overview

- Approximately 700+ riders will follow routes of 103, 60, 32 and 18 miles; plus a kids Bike Rodeo.

- Routes begin at OLPH School and continue throughout NE San Antonio, Schertz, Garden Ridge, Cibolo and surrounding communities.

- A ride for all levels, serious enthusiasts, tri-athletes, weekend warriors, fun riders and families.

- Fully supported rest stops, medical support and traffic control.

Why do we need sponsors?

Although riders are required to do fund raising, sponsors are need to help cover the cost of the ride, ensuring 100% of all monies collected will go to the endowment fund.

Event FAQ

Packet pickup locations?

Britton's Bike Shop at 281 and Thousand Oaks on Wed., Thurs. and Fri. from 4-7pm or at OLPH on Saturday at 6:30am.

Where does it Start?

All of our bike routes start at the OLPH school at 16075 N Evans Rd Selma, Texas, 78154

Do I bring my own water?

We have water for participants to refill their own water bottles with at each pit stop.

Any other refreshments?

The refreshments at the pit stops will include water and gatorade for you to fill your own water bottle with and other snacks to be determined.

Will streets be closed?

No. Bicyclists must follow all the rules of the road, including obeying traffic signals, sharing the road with cars, yielding to pedestrians, etc. All riders must use common sense and obey the rules of the road. Police will assist with all major intersections.

What can I do to help?

We need volunteers to staff our rest stops, setup, do course marking, cheer riders on along the course, stuff goodie bags, etc. Volunteers are especially needed the day of the ride, but and pre-event help is great! Volunteer shifts are as short as 2 hours. Contact Mike Wallace for volunteer info.
